BAUER RUSSIA INVITE ~ MOSCOW, RUSSIA
The Bauer Russia Invite
is an
international youth hockey tournament organized by
the same directors of the Bauer International Invite
(the largest AAA hockey tournament in the world held
annually every November in Chicago, Illinois, USA).
This will be our 2nd year in Russia (2011 was in St.
Petersburg). The tournament is now accepting team
applications for August 9-12, 2012 in
Moscow, Russia.
The Bauer Russia Invite
gives young people from all over the world an
opportunity through the greatest sport - Hockey to
experience Russia with much more than just the game
itself. Playing games against teams from worldwide,
attending cultural tours & events will together give
your team a great experience in the summer of 2012.
Who may participate (97, 98, 99, 00 and 01 age
groups)
Primarily AA/AAA level with association teams, all
star teams and or select clubs welcome to
participate in the Bauer Russia Invite. Last year
we had teams competing in St. Petersburg from all
over Russia, Czech Republic, Finland, Latvia, Sweden
and the USA.
Tournament Format
The tournament format is based on 2 Pools of 4 teams
each. Each team crosses over and plays the other
teams once (4 round robin games). The first and
second teams in each group qualify for the semi
final round, The third and fourth place finishers in
the group will also play a final seeding game for
ranking. All teams will play at least 5 games, and
as many as 6 games. Exhibition/Friendly Games can
be arranged for all teams arriving early to either
location. Playing periods (3 x 15
minutes)
Welcome Party, Opening Night Reception, Bauer Demo,
Awards
Opening Night Reception with Bauer Demo and Skills
Competitions. Welcome Gifts for every single player,
Team Leader Duffle Bags, Bauer MVP Skates and Bauer
MVP Sticks, Championship/Runner Up Trophies and
Medallions.
North American teams
from either Canada or the USA must work directly on
team registration and logistics arrangements through
our main office. We promise to organize an event
that will expose athletes to not only hockey, but
the rich history of Moscow.
European Teams

There will be a fee assigned by theTretyak Academy
for tournament, housing, meals, buses and tours.

Teams arrive at Moscow’s International Airport. Teams will be
picked up at the airport and transferred
to the hotel for check in and
registration. Dinner will be served this
day. Training session can be arranged.

Breakfast at Hotel. Bus Departs for Sightseeing and Cultural Tour
of Kremlin (Cathedral Square), Red
Square, St. Bazil’s Cathedral. Practice
Game late afternoon or early evening.

Breakfast at Hotel. Bus Departs for Sightseeing and Cultural Tour
of Chris the Savior Cathedral and River
Boat Tour. Practice Game late afternoon
and then attend the famous Moscow

Breakfast at Hotel. Practice game around 10:00am. Shopping in
and around famous G.U.M Mall. Bauer
Russia Opening Night at the Arena at
4:00pm with Bauer skills/demo plus Beer
Gardens for Parents/Coaches/Staff. Late
