BAUER Partners in Stockholm, Sweden and St. Petersburg

The Bauer Euro Invite is an international youth hockey tournament organized by the same directors of the Bauer International Invite (the largest AAA hockey tournament in the world held annually every November in Chicago, Illinois, USA).  This will be our 2nd year in Stockholm and our first ever in Russia.  The tournament is now accepting team applications for August 11-14, 2011 in Stockholm, Sweden and Saint Petersburg, Russia.  The Bauer Euro Invite gives young people from all over the world an opportunity through the greatest sport - Hockey to experience Sweden and Russia with much more than just the game itself. Playing games against teams from worldwide, attending cultural tours & events will together give your team a great experience in the summer of 2011.

Who may participate (96, 97, 98, 99, 00 and 01 age groups)

All association teams, all star teams and or select clubs, are welcome to participate in the Bauer Euro Invite.  Last year we had teams in Stockholm from Russia, Czech Republic, Finland, USA and the top Swedish clubs participate. St. Petersburg will feature the very best elite AAA teams whereas Stockholm is designed for competitive AAA teams.

Tournament Format

The tournament format is based on 2 Pools of 4 teams each. Each team crosses over and plays the other teams once (4 round robin games). The first and second teams in each group qualify for the semi final round, The third and fourth place finishers in the group will also play a final seeding game for ranking. All teams will play at least 5 games, and as many as 6 games.  Exhibition/Friendly Games can be arranged for all teams arriving early to either location.     Playing periods (3 x 17 minutes)
